How was this created? What is a Giclée? In 2010, Kamish was commissioned by the University of Notre Dame Development Department to create a 42” bronze and gold gilded sculpture in the likeness of Our Mother that stands atop the Golden Dome. One copy resides in the lobby of the Development Offices and a second at the Morris Inn. In 2019, Kamish created a 15″ lost-wax bronze Limited Edition sculpture of Our Mother. This was an exact replicate of his 42″ Our Mother. A high-quality photograph was taken of the 15″ sculpture and used to create this archival Giclée on canvas. (Giclée /ZHēˈklā/ a high-quality print using archival inks to a substrate; in this case, on canvas) The Giclée on canvas is then stretched and mounted in this gold frame. Each Fine Art Giclée is hand-signed by the artist and comes with a COA.
